Why should I mask my affiliate links?
WPMarketer lets you mask links. So instead of seeing a long, ugly affiliate URL with SubID, Link Masking enables your links appear as “pretty”, internal links that are more natural to users. Users, Bots and Competitors won’t know what offer you are linking to without clicking on the links and visting the target pages.
What type of links can I set up using WPMarketer?
Currently WPMarketer includes 3 link types: HTML, Image and Javascript.
How do I insert links using WPMarketer?
Either insert the WPM tag [WPM=ID] on any page or post or choose the Auto Link option. This gives you total flexibility to place your affiliate links wherever you want or let WPMarketer replace every instance of the Anchor Text with links you set up.
You can use either manual or auto links or choose to use both methods for each link you enter. If you want to change the parameters of a link it is automatically changed everywhere a WPM tag has been inserted or where the updated anchor text appears if Auto Linking is enabled.
While all these options may seem a bit confusing at first, once you master the configuration process you will find that WPMarketer is a very flexible and powerful Perfomance Marketing tool. We have included popup help icons in the user interface to help you learn as you set up your affiliate links. Once you set up a few links you’ll get the knack of it quickly. Best of yet as offers expire or you want to change from one offer to another, all you have to do is update the link options to modify all instances of that offer!
How can I use WPMarketer to track my PPC expenses and track conversions?
Currently, WPMarketer supports insertion of tracking code snippets generated by Google Adwords so that you can track your Conversion Actions if you use Google pay-per-click advertising. The upcoming WPMarketer Pro version will be launching in early 2009. Available for a nominal subscription fee, it will include complete anayltics, tracking and reporting functions.
